WELCOME TO PEAK AT SHOAL CREEK ELEMENTARY
The PEAK team at Shoal Creek is delighted to welcome your child to the PEAK program.
Students from Kellybrook, Liberty Oaks, Shoal Creek and Warren Hills will attend PEAK classes at Shoal Creek from 9:30 to 3:00 one day a week.
PEAK OPEN HOUSE 2012
PEAK parents and students viewed topic study projects. Students selected independent topics to research. Students completed projects based on the Bloom's Level of Taxonomy. Each level of Bloom's focuses on a level of thinking: remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating and creating.

An article from the Gifted Association of Missouri's GAMBIT publication suggests these tips to help children thrive:
- Encourage your child’s love of learning, not scoring A’s
- Show interest in what your child is learning
- Encourage your child to develop interests that go beyond the school curriculum
- Encourage group activities and as well as solitary pursuits.
- Encourage your child to participate in enrichment activities outside of school.
- Encourage your child to pursue non-academic interests
- Encourage your child to pursue passions in as much depth as possible
- Allow your child’s interests to change
